It’s been a busy start to 2016. Mainly because I’ve started my spring cleaning early. I have deep cleaned most of the house and even decided to paint the walls. We had some ugly pink heart wallpaper in the kitchen and after living at our home for nearly 2 years, I decided it was time for the wallpaper to come down, but there were problems after that. The wallpaper was placed over drywall. So, we had to fill in the holes, texture the wall and then paint it. I chose this color called “Rushing Red” which is a darker red, but not quite burgundy. My theme in my kitchen is roosters so the paint color works great with all of my towels, figurines, and rugs. It’s like a whole new kitchen. I have figured out though when you re-do a room like that it makes you want to paint other walls in the home or even change the carpet. That’ll be my next project I’m sure.
