Moose that visited the North End is relocated

The moose that caused a stir in the North End this morning will now call Lowman home.  Idaho Fish and Game’s Mike Keckler says it was the same moose that made a trip to East Boise last year.

“Last year when they removed it, they placed a green tag in its ear.  So when they saw it again, they spotted the green ear tag, and everybody assumed ‘well, that’s probably the same moose’, because we don’t have a lot of them in this part of the country.”

Keckler says last year, they dropped the moose off outside Idaho City, but they’re taking it further up the road to Lowman this time.  He says there are more moose in that area, so hopefully the two-year old female will find some friends and stay put.
