Do you have extra paint, fertilizer, or other chemicals in the garage, and you’re thinking of getting rid of them on garbage day? Ada County’s Dave Logan says instead of sending them out in regular garbage, they should be recycled.
“Last year we processed over a million pounds of waste material from the landfill, diverted it. This would have been waste that normally would have been buried at the landfill.”
Logan says not only do they have a hazmat collection point at the landfill, on Seaman’s Gulch Road, but they have mobile collection sites throughout the week. For more information, go to adacountylandfill.com, and click on “Waste Types and Solutions”.
