A Shout Out To News Junkies

I was still a young broadcaster when 9/11 happened.  I look at that day as one of my best and worst days in the news business.  I acted professionally that day, but I came home that night a different person.  There were so many tragedies that day, keeping my “news face” on to report them one after another was a difficult job.  It’s hard to read and report on terrorist situations and not be effected by it.  (Note: I can’t impagine how hard it must have been to be a reporter or anchor in New York that day.)

This week I was also moved by reading and reporting on the Chelsey Malone Murder in Nampa.  I find it absolutely tragic her 3 boys (all under 5) won’t have a Mother or a Father to go home to.

There is a bunch of bad news out there to report, and it’s our job to let you know what happens here at home and around the world.  I just wanted to throw a quick nod to all those “News Guys and Gals” out there.  Hope you guys get more sleep than I do…
