A Boise State University football player has been arrested for felony attempted strangulation.
Freshman tight end David Lucero was booked into the Ada County jail just before noon today.
Boise Police say they received a report of a fight in progress at a home on South Shoshone Street and Cherry Lane around 11 o’clock last night.
Witnesses told police a man and a woman were verbally arguing and then things got physical.
Boise State University has released a statement saying Lucero has been suspended indefinitely from the football team.
