Nampa groundbreaking Ustick Corridor improvements

Next week, the City of Nampa will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the upcoming Ustick Corridor improvements.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 22 at 1:00 PM on the south side of Ustick Road, just east of N. Can Ada Road.

The Ustick Road project will transform the existing two-lane road into a modern, four-lane road complete with ten-foot-wide side paths on each side and a new signalized intersection at Star Road.

Construction is slated to begin in late spring 2025.

This project has been made possible thanks to a $10 million strategic initiative grant.

This grant was enacted by legislation in 2023 to mitigate the impacts of new state highway systems on the local road networks.

The City of Nampa secured the largest grant award from a competitive pool of over $293 million in submitted needs across the state.
