Elevator rescue by Boise Fire

Boise Fire rescued three people trapped in an elevator on Wednesday night.

CBS2 reports that around 8 p.m. Boise Fire responded to a business in downtown Boise where 3 people were trapped in an elevator in a blind shaft.

The elevator got stuck between the 1st and 3rd floors, the elevator did not open to the 2nd floor.

The Tech Rescue team secured the elevator with special blocks bolted to the rails so it would not move, and then team members in harnesses climbed down and brought the trapped individuals out through the top hatch and safely brought them out.
