Beginning this fall, drivers in South Meridian will find some long-term detours for Eagle Rd.
ACHD says, after an initial project delay…a widening project will start, as early as mid-September, shutting down Eagle Rd between Lake Hazel and Amity Rd’s.
BoiseDev.com reports, Eagle Rd will be widened to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane and medians.
A roundabout will also be built at Taconic Dr. and Eagle Rd.
The Lake Hazel and Eagle Rd intersection will be fully closed for several months…and will transition from the current 4 way stop, to signals.
The estimated completion date for the projects, is November of 2025.
