The Moose Fire along the Salmon River has grown to more than 32,000 acres.
Federal fire officials say firefighters made good progress north of the river on Sunday with structure protection continuing along the Salmon River and Highway 93.
On the southeast side of the fire, crews and heavy equipment work on scouting and building an indirect fire line along Diamond Creek Road from the Highway 93 corridor up into the Five Corners.
If it is safe, a pilot car will continue escorting traffic along the Salmon River Road between Highway 93 at North Fork and the Boy Scout Camp.
