Public testimony continues into controversial Interfaith Sanctuary shelter proposal

Public testimony has wrapped up in the Interfaith Sanctuary’s appeal for a new shelter off State Street.

The Boise City Council has been hearing the appeal all week after Boise Planning and Zoning denied the proposed homeless shelter.

On Thursday, council members heard from members of the public and Boise Police chief Ryan Lee.

CBS 2 News reports, the hearings will continue on Monday where Interfaith will face cross examination. A decision could come from the city council as soon as Monday.
