A second Boise State men’s basketball player has declared for the upcoming NBA Draft, and this one also entered his name in the transfer portal.
Redshirt senior guard Emmanuel Akot — who has an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic — announced on social media over the weekend that he plans to test his NBA Draft stock while maintaining his final year of eligibility.
Akot, who transferred to Boise State from Arizona, also said he plans to explore all his options by entering the transfer portal.
The Idaho Statesman reports, Akot joins teammate Marcus Shaver Jr. in planning to test the NBA waters. Shaver also declared while leaving himself the option to return to the Broncos.
Fifth-year senior Abu Kigab is out of eligibility, while Mladen Armus has not yet said whether he will return for an additional season with the Broncos.
