The statehouse should remain quiet today – but the 2022 session is not over yet.
The House and Senate have each adjourned until Thursday as they wait to see if the Governor decides to VETO any legislation that is now on his desk.
By law, Governor Brad Little has 5 days to decide to add his signature to a bill, allow it to become law without his signature or veto the legislation.
So far the Governor has vetoed 2 pieces of legislation, and could do so again.
By waiting until Thursday, the legislature has the ability to gather again and attempt to override the governors veto if they have enough votes to do so.
