I-84 was closed to Eastbound and westbound traffic between La Grande and six miles east of Pendleton after a huge pile-up on the freeway Monday.
Oregon State Police said they were notified of the crash Monday afternoon near milepost 230.
The largest section of the incident involved 15 to 20 commercial and passenger vehicles. Early estimates from OSP put the total number of vehicles involved just under 100.
Westbound and eastbound traffic are moving once agian.
CBS 2 News reports, three busloads of stranded drivers were transported from the crash site earlier Monday.
