The Boise Planning and Zoning Commission met again for a hearing on Interfaith Sanctuary’s plan to redevelop a former Salvation Army warehouse on State Street into an overnight and daytime homeless shelter.
The proposal was first introduced nearly a year ago.
Commissioners heard a range of opinions on the project with over 200 people signed up to give their testimonies. CBS 2 News reports, at last night’s meeting, safety was the most dominant concern.
But others say this is an opportunity to help those in need.
No decision was made Monday night and the Boise P&Z Commission says it will continue the discussion at its next meeting Jan. 3rd.
