The storm door is open through the first of next week. In fact, the mountains will see a chance of heavy snow beginning on Saturday and will likely persist through Tuesday of next week.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for our mountain zones for Saturday and Sunday. During that time, as much as 1-2 feet of new snow could fall.
As far as the valley goes, CBS 2 News reports the best chance of rain/snow showers will be Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The bottom line? Things are looking good to bring precipitation into our parched state.
