Idaho Falls man who committed crimes in DC on January 6th arrested

An Idaho Falls man was arrested this week (Nov 30) for crimes committed related to the Jan 6 incident at the U.S. Capital in Washington D.C.

FBI Special Agents, with assistance from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Idaho Falls Police Department, arrested Tyler Tew of Idaho Falls, pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the United States Court District of Columbia.

East Idaho news reports, the FBI received a tip that Tew posted on his Facebook that he was at the Capitol on Jan. 6 alongside thousands of other demonstrators.

And according to charging documents, cell phone data also showed Tew entered the U.S. Capitol with others, which FBI agents supported using surveillance videos from inside the building.

After being arrested, Tew was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
