The $1.2 trillion bill is the largest infusion of federal dollars in infrastructure in nearly a century, and Idaho is expected to receive more than $2 billion for roads and bridges.
The Idaho Capitol Sun reports, Idaho will also receive $355 million for clean water projects and $24 million for climate change preparation. Idaho will also receive $192 million for public transportation and $86 million for airports.
According to the White House, Idaho will also receive a minimum of $100 million for broadband internet infrastructure, which is meant to provide access to residents who lack broadband capability.
That is not all, there is also $24 million over five years for wildfire prevention and protection.
