A boy riding an electric scooter who died after getting hit by a vehicle in Caldwell last week has been identified.
On Monday, the Ada County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 13-year-old Landon Hyland.
Police say the crash occurred on Marble Front Road near Andrew Court just east of Indiana Avenue Friday night.
ISP said a Caldwell man was driving west, when Hyland, who was also heading west, tried to cross the road and was hit by the man’s Ford Escape.
CBS2 reports Hyland died the following day at St. Luke’s in Boise.
The boy’s cause and manner of death are still pending the autopsy.
