School Starts today for Boise School District

Local schools are welcoming students back to in-person learning this month.

The Boise School District starts school today (Monday, Aug. 16.)

The district will require all students and staff to wear face coverings while indoors for the upcoming school year.

After the board earlier this month decided to begin the school year with a mask requirement, officials there say the feedback from parents and teachers have been in favor of the decision – but there have been some upset parents.

Students in the Caldwell School District return to school on Wednesday, Aug. 18.

The first day of school for the Nampa School District is Thursday, Aug 19.

The Middleton School District also starts school on Aug. 19.

Emmett School District’s first day of school is Monday, August 23.

West Ada School District officially returns to school on Thursday, Aug 26.
