Boise School District, in partnership with St. Luke’s Health System, will provide the following mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics at some of the District’s junior high schools for anyone in the community who is 12 years or older. Note: The following schedule has been updated as of 07/06/2021.
West Junior High School: July 6 from 9 am – 1 pm
North Junior High School: July 8 from 9 am – 1 pm
Please note the clinics originally scheduled at South on 7/6; Fairmont on 7/9 and Les Bois on 7/12 have been cancelled due to the need to repair the air conditioning unit in the mobile vaccination RV.
The remaining clinics are walk-in clinics and no sign-up or appointments are necessary. The clinics provide voluntary access to the COVID-19 vaccine and are open to the community. Any individuals, 12 years or older, no matter where you live or which school you attend, will be able to receive either their initial or second COVID-19 vaccination.
Parents are also welcome and encouraged to accompany their students, if they would like. Any parents or other community members who walk up will also be able to receive the vaccine.
Consent:
Students will need a signed consent form or a verbal phone consent from their parent/guardian for the initial and booster vaccinations.
Consent forms have been translated into Swahili, Somali, Arabic and Spanish.
Price:
The vaccinations are free.
Students should bring their insurance information to the appointment if they have one. However, they will not be turned away if they do not have insurance and no one will be billed for the vaccination.
Vaccine Eligibility
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available to anyone over the age of 12.
The FDA granted the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for children ages 12 to 15, which was approved by a CDC advisory committee on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
