We told you on Wednesday that the West Ada School District is dropping it’s mask policy for the upcoming school year.
It appears Caldwell schools are following suit.
The Caldwell School District trustees voted to change the mask policy from required to recommended, meaning face coverings are now optional for students and staff. However, Caldwell trustees are giving themselves some wiggle room as the policy was also changed to say that masks may become required as needed “should outbreaks in schools occur in the future.”
The change to the mask policy will immediately affect students who are taking summer school, including those in the district’s Summer Bridge Program.
