Governor Brad Little is putting together a new transportation plan for Idaho, and he is already hitting the road to try and get part of the money it will take to fund that new plan.
If the Governor get what he is pushing for – around 80 million in new money would be added for transportation needs in Idaho for roads and bridges on the highway system. But, as the governor stated in Caldwell on Tuesday, it’s something that’s under negotiation.
Governor Little says Idaho needs a long-term funding source for big projects. He is currently in negotiations with legislative leaders, including the leaders of both the House and Senate transportation committees.
The Idaho Press reports, the governor will be also be hosting transportation roundtables across the state. Little is set to head to Eastern Idaho today (Wednesday) to discuss transportation needs there.
