Three Idaho Army National Guards members were killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night near Lucky Peak.
All three members were were performing a routine training flight in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter when they crashed south of Lucky Peak at about 8 p.m.
The helicopter was last contacted at 7:45 p.m. The emergency transmitter locator device was activated shortly after.
The pilots were found by 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday. It is unclear what caused the Black Hawk to crash. The Idaho Army National Guard says an investigation will be held into what went wrong.
The names of the pilots will be released once the families have been notified.
