Boise (670 KBOI News) – This year’s X-Games Qualifying Round in Boise’s Rhodes Skate Park will have a new feature, which will leave spectators wondering “how do they do that”?

Parks and Recreation Director Doug Holloway they’re teaming up with the San Diego-based Challenged Athletes Foundation to have a Wheelchair BMX demonstration and clinic.

“They actually have athletes who compete in skate park events, while they’re in a wheelchair,” said Holloway.  “They can do different kinds of special tricks, and different types of athletic features, while they’re in a wheelchair, in a skate park bowl, similar to what we have at Rhodes Skate Park.”

The demo and clinic will take place Friday the 28th after the day’s competition, which should wrap up about 4:30…admission is free.
