Boise (670 KBOI News) – A song by the Fabulous Thunderbirds asks “how do you spell love, M-O-N-E-Y.”
While that may sound a bit jaded, WalletHub.com has found it’s pretty accurate.
Analyst Jill Gonzalez says in a recent survey, they found in most cases, buying Valentine’s gift is the guy’s responsibility.
“I think this is where the stereotype is a little more backed up,” said Gonzalez. “Women plan on spending nothing on a Valentine’s Day gift, men probably will spend up to $100.”
As if that’s not romantic enough, Gonzalez found that 46% of people would dump their significant other if they couldn’t manage money…more women than men said they would.
Taking it further, more women than men said they’d break up with someone over a bad credit rating.
So Happy Valentine’s Day guys…now get back to work!
