Boise (670 KBOI News) – More than a quarter of a million people…plus livestock. That’s how many attended the Western Idaho Fair last month.

Not only was an attendance record set, but concessions and carnival ticket sales were records, too.

The 10 days from August 17th through the 26th were the busiest in the Fair’s 121-year history, with the Grandstand concert series breaking attendance records.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias also setting a record for biggest crowd…12,800.

Add to that nearly 11,000 for rock band Styx, 9,200 for country star Randy Houser, and another 3,900 rocking out with Poison front man Bret Michaels.

And sales at the Junior Marketplace Livestock Sale were up, too…about 20% from last year.

So…what are you doing August 16th through the 25th of 2019? Those are the dates of next year’s fair.
