There are about 185 different types of visas to gain access into this country. Yup. You read that right. 185. I was shocked too when I found that out. For those who don’t know, a visa is a piece of paper granted by the US government to either immigrants or non immigrants BEFORE entry into this country. Depending on which country you’re coming from and type of visa requested, the wait may be lengthy. Schools, industries, religions, the US government and certain prospective spouses in this country all in some way shape of form benefit by these. Once an immigrant or non-immigrant visa has expired without reapplication, they are deemed “out of status”… or illegal.
