Boise Airport Tower Investigation Continues

In the early morning of Saturday, November 19th, something went wrong at the Boise Airport Tower when pilots were not able to raise an air traffic controller.

The Idaho Statesman reports local Police officers were sent to the tower for a welfare check after airport operations officials were also not able to make contact with anyone at the tower.

Pilots switched to announcing their movements over the open radio, and no incidents were reported as a result of them being unable to reach the controllers.

The FAA have not released any details and only will say the investigation is still ongoing. Local authorities have also not said what happened.
