Ada County Deputies Arrest Burglary Suspect In Star

ADAMS-BURGLARY

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Kuna man yesterday after getting reports of a suspicious man in a Star neighborhood. The neighborhood is near Star Elementary.

Deputies say around 11 AM someone called to report a suspicious man peeking into people’s homes in the neighborhood. When deputies arrived they made contact with the man, later identified at Zackery Adams, but while questioning him, he took off. Deputies chased Adams through several yards and even into one home, but he got away. Police warned neighbors to stay indoors and lock their doors until Adams was caught. Shortly after a woman called police to report the same suspect inside her home. She told police she had just came home from work and when she walked inside her home, Adams was standing by the door. The woman says she ran, but tripped and hurt herself.

Adams was found around 6 PM hiding in an outbuilding. He was arrested and charged with felony burglary, felony unlawful possession for a weapon by a convicted felon, felony controlled substance possession, among lesser charges including eluding police. Deputies claim Adams also had a warrant.

Adams allegedly told police he had a Taurus .380 handgun with him at the time, but he ditched it in a shed in the neighborhood. He doesn’t remember where. Adams says the shed did have two dirt bikes and some canning supplies. If you have any information on the gun or find it, call police.
