Caldwell police arrest kidnapper

Caldwell Police have arrested and charged a local man for kidnapping and attacking a woman.

Police report that 26-year-old Kenny John Cornish of Nampa allegedly kidnapped a woman he knew from a Caldwell home on Nov. 16.

CBS2 reports the woman told police Cornish forced her to drive to several locations throughout Nampa, Kuna and Meridian while he physically attacked her and threatened her life.

The woman managed to escape from Cornish while in Meridian and call the police.

Cornish fled the area in the victim’s car.

Caldwell Police say detectives worked to locate Cornish throughout the weekend and tracked him to a residence on West Streamside Avenue in Nampa.

Caldwell Detectives with Nampa SWAT took Cornish into custody Monday evening.

He was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and other crimes.
