On Wednesday, Meridian Officers were dispatched to a business on the 100 block of E. Broadway Avenue at 12:25 a.m. regarding 22-year-old Spencer Throngard of Meridian refusing to leave.
CBS2 reports the business told Throngard to leave the property multiple times, and he was arrested for trespassing.
Throngard resisted, pulling away, and was forced to the ground and secured in handcuffs.
Throngard was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance.
While at the hospital, he spit on a Meridian Police Officer.
Throngard was cleared by the hospital and transported to Ada County Jail for one count of misdemeanor resisting or obstructing, one count of misdemeanor trespass and one count of felony assault or battery upon certain personnel.
