A 72 year old Nampa man has been arrested and charged with 2 felonies and 1 misdemeanor after attacking a woman Monday.
Nampa Police responded to a residence near Karcher & N. Middleton Rd for a report of an attempted rape.
The victim knew the suspect as someone who lived in her neighborhood.
The female victim told police the suspect had sustained multiple stab wounds, inflicted by her in an act of self-defense, when he forcefully entered her bathroom,battered her, then fled on foot.
The suspect was identified as Douglas Slayton who is a registered sex offender with a prior
conviction for rape.
Slayton was later taken into custody and charged with felony battery with the intent to commit a serious felony, felony burlary, and misdemeanor false imprisonment.
He’s being held on a $1 million bond.
