The Ada County Prosecutor’s Office has filed additional charges against the driver authorities suspect of hitting two pedestrians and several vehicles in downtown Boise this summer.
Jacob Miller of Boise was arrested in June and charged with two felony counts of leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in injury or death.
The Idaho Statesman reports, he now faces six additional charges, including two felonies for aggravated driving under the influence, according to a newly filed criminal complaint obtained by the Statesman.
Miller’s blood alcohol content was .214, or almost three times the legal limit of .08, when he struck the two women at the intersection of Main and 11th.
He continued to drive through downtown, hitting curbs and other vehicles.
The two women were hospitalized in life-threatening condition. Both suffered traumatic brain injuries and multiple broken bones, along with lacerations and abrasions, according to the criminal complaint.
