Boise Search & Rescue surprise gift from the community

4 Lo Idaho Off-Road, Casey’s Smile, the Horseshoe Bend Chamber of Commerce and a number of different businesses came together to provide Boise County Search and Rescue with a new tool to aid in search and rescue incidents.

KIVI-TV reports, a build team took a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo and turned it into an off-road recovery vehicle by adding a four inch lift and putting on new tires, a new engine, with a special intake to help with river crossings, as well as front and rear anchor points, and a winch bumper featuring a front receiver.

The vehicle was presented to the Boise County Search and Rescue team Saturday.

Boise County Search and Rescue means less work for the sheriffs office, which is stretched thin in rural Boise County.
