Pending confirmation by Boise city council, incoming Boise Chief of Police, Christopher Dennison, will be sworn in by Mayor Lauren McLean at noon on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in council chambers.
Dennison’s first day with the city will be September 15, 2024.
He will officially become Chief of Police on September 20, 2024, following current Police Chief’s retirement.
The public is invited to attend the swearing in ceremony and meet the new Chief during a light lunch reception immediately following the ceremony.
