Boise schools only 2 social media platforms

Boise School District Administration is putting limitations on certain electronic devices.

Effective immediately, district-provided student devices, such as Chromebooks, will allow access to only two social media platforms: YouTube and LinkedIn.

CBS 2 reports the administration selected these platforms because it believes they offer substantial educational content and professional networking opportunities that can aid in students’ learning and career development.

In addition, individual schools may be limiting student use of cell phones altogether during the school day.
