Nampa Police are warning people and businesses of a new scam involving fake Boys and Girls Club fundraiser flyers.
Nampa Police were alerted to a new scam by a local business, two men came into the business and asked that they make copies of a flyer that said that donations benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
CBS2 reports the business asked a few questions about the flyer and the men’s answers didn’t match.
The Nampa Police contacted the national business on the flyer along with the Boys and Girls Club, who confirmed that they were not part of a fundraiser.
Nampa Police are warning people not to donate to anyone who comes up to you with candy and this flyer if you are asked by someone who comes to your door or in a parking lot to donate don’t do it and call Nampa Police.
