The City of Caldwell will begin constructing improvements at the Middleton Road and Skyway Street intersection this week.
Motorists should anticipate road closures, lane restrictions, and reduced speed limits until work is completed in fall 2024.
The City of Caldwell has phased construction to keep Middleton Road open for as long as possible, beginning with Lane closures on Middleton Road until late July with Reduced speed limits
Then Middleton Road will be closed from late July until late October.
Improvements include:
Widening Middleton Road to five lanes from the Noble Drain to Shadow Glen Drive
Building a dual-lane roundabout at the Middleton Road and Skyway Street intersection
Adding new sidewalks, bike lanes, signalized pedestrian crossing, street lighting and landscaping
Adding a raised median and U-turn opportunity between Linden Road and Skyway Street
