Idaho State Police (ISP) says Skylar Meade and Nicholas Umphenour, the Saint Alphonsus ambush suspects, were formally indicted on Tuesday in Nez Perce County for the murder of 83-year-old James Mauney of Juliaetta, Idaho.
Mauney was found deceased near Leland.
CBS 2 reports, the case remains under investigation, and detectives continue investigating the murder of 72-year-old Gerald “Don” Henderson near Orofino.
Detectives believe Henderson may have been acquainted with the suspects, but the duration and extent are unknown.
The two homicides are believed to be related to Meade’s escape from the Idaho Department of Corrections, with assistance from Umphenour, on March 20.
