Nampa has a new dog park with splash pad

The Nampa Parks and Recreation Department has opened Huckleberry Dog Park, a 9.5-acre facility featuring enclosed dog play areas, paved walking loops, water stations, drinking fountains, open spaces, restrooms, and parking.

Located on Smith Avenue between Middleton and Midway Road, Huckleberry Dog Park welcomed neighbors, friends, and their pets for its grand opening.

CBS2 reports the park has a splash pad and visitors can watch their dogs play, throw frisbees, and socialize with fellow dog owners.

Previously, Nampa had only one dog park, which was one of the city’s most frequented parks.

The addition of Huckleberry Dog Park is expected to alleviate overcrowding.

Huckleberry Dog Park is a new hub for both dogs and their owners to socialize and enjoy the outdoors.
