Broncos host Aggies Saturday

Boise State prepares to host Utah State – which enters the game in the top-25 of the NET rankings – in a Mountain West men’s basketball clash, Saturday at 4:30 p.m. MT. The game will be nationally broadcast from ExtraMile Arena on FS1.

SERIES HISTORY: The Broncos have won the last four meetings against Utah State, and have won 11 of the last 15 meetings against their rivals to the southeast.

LOCK IT DOWN: Boise State has limited its opponents to 38.3% shooting from the floor and 28% from three — both are conference-leading marks and top 20 nationally. The Broncos lead the Mountain West and are 16th nationally in scoring defense, allowing a mere 59.4 points per contest.

RESUME BUILDERS: The Broncos have compiled a strong resume to this point in the season, going 4-3 in Quad 1 and Quad 2 games. Boise State’s five Top-100 wins according to KenPom are matched by only Utah State and San Diego State — with five apiece — within the Mountain West.

HEAT CHECK FROM AGBO: Chibuzo Agbo has been the best three-point threat all season long for Boise State. The junior guard is shooting 44.4% from deep with 32 threes made thus far. He is currently just the sixth Bronco to make at least 32 triples while shooting at least 44% from behind the arc in a season, dating back to 1992-93 — first since Justinian Jessup in 2017-18.
