Boise Mayor Lauren McLean will attend President Joe Biden’s bill signing ceremony for the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 at the White House.
Passed by the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives last month, the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act will provide more than $52 billion in funding for semiconductor manufacturing, scientific research and tax credits.
McLean will attend the bill signing ceremony with members of Micron. Based in Boise, Micron is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of semiconductors.
