The Boise School District on Monday voted unanimously to approve a plan that would make masks optional.
The plan also includes returning to pre-pandemic visitor and volunteer protocols along with reinstating school activities.
The plan comes after several other states phase-out of their mask mandates for schools, but with Idaho hospitals still under crisis standards of care, some board members want to wait to implement the plan.
CBS 2 News reports, the board approved that the plan will not be implemented until March 28 — after the district’s spring break.
