Former Idaho lawmaker Aaron von Ehlinger is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Ada County District court on rape charges Wednesday morning.
According to Idaho court records, Ehlinger is scheduled to be in court at 9:30 a.m.
CBS2 reports the charges stem from an investigation that arose in March when an intern reported to a supervisor that von Ehlinger raped her at his apartment after the two had dinner at a local restaurant.
He is facing charges of rape and forcible penetration by use of a foreign object.
Von Ehlinger has denied all wrongdoing and maintains that he had consensual sexual contact with the young woman.
