Did you feel the shake Saturday night?
Central Idaho’s strongest earthquake of the year shook the Boise area at 10:18 pm, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The initial quake of 4.0, centered near Stanley was the strongest since November 2020.
But there were 5 other after-shocks between about 10:40 and midnight…all ranging from 2.6 to 3.5.
Saturday’s first quake was centered about 11 miles northwest of Stanley. That’s the same general area that has had more than 1,000 earthquakes of 2.5 magnitude or higher in the past year and a half.
