Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is in need of volunteers

The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is in need of more volunteers because of the increased number of phone calls it’s been receiving.

CBS 2 News reports, currently, it has close to 90 volunteers, but it’s looking for 20 more by the end of next month.

Crisis phone responders are required to participate in comprehensive training, commit to serve one 4-hour shift per week for one year and must be at least 18 years of age.

If you or a loved one is struggling with suicidal thoughts or actions, please reach to the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Their number is (208) 398-4357.
