Idaho Senators Risch and Crapo sound off on Afghanistan withdrawal

The Idaho delegation in Washington is sounding off on what is happening in Afghanistan.

That includes Idaho Senator Mike Crapo, who is blasting President Joe Biden on his handling of Afghanistan after the Taliban has taken over the country.

In a realease, Crapo says, “The haphazard withdrawal from Afghanistan is a failure of presidential leadership and was based on an arbitrary timeline, not on-the-ground intelligence.” Crapo said.

Idaho Senator Jim Risch released a similar statement, saying that this rushed and political decision to withdraw without consideration of our counter terrorism priorities will allow Afghanistan to serve as a future platform for terrorist attacks against the United States and our partners.
