The West Ada school district will begin the school year by encouraging staff and students to wear masks.
But there will be no mandate for now.
West Ada said in an email on Wednesday to parents, they encourage everyone to look at the COVID-19 data and make a decision that is in the best interest of their family.
The district also on Wednesday encouraged any parents or guardians that would like to see additional mitigating measures, take a survey.
The first day of school for the West Ada School District is Aug. 26th.
