City of Boise’s director of police oversight resigns; interim replacement named

he city of Boise’s director of police oversight has resigned.

The city says Natalie Camacho Mendoza resigned from her position, which was effective on Monday. The city says it’s appointed Jesus Jara to serve as interim director until Mendoza’s replacement is found.

He’s currently working as a senior human resources analyst for Benton County, Oregon. Candidates will be interviewed by a community panel, followed by mayor Lauren McLean and council president Elaine Clegg.

McLean will make the final decision pending council confirmation.
