Voters in Gem County on Tuesday voted to reject a $68 million bond to build a new high school in Emmett.
The district says the voters “spoke loudly” on Tuesday.
Craig Woods, Emmett schools superintendent said the outcome doesn’t negate the fact that the district still faces serious maintenance issues that will have to be addressed.
The bond needed 67 percent approval but ended up with 40 percent.
